    Equipments Details

    Description

SAFL has a large-scale wind tunnel design to study the boundary layer effects on natural and or/urban environments. The wind tunnel can provide a circulating or once-through flow of air that can reach 148 feet/second. It is equipped with a glass observation wall, surface variation capabilities, a rotating turntable, smoke generator, laser instrumentation, and temperature control that allows researchers to study effects of thermal stratification in the atmosphere on structures.
