Professional Information

Eric Singsaas joined the staff as Manager of the Materials and Bioeconomy research group in 2016 focussed on development of materials, chemicals, energy products from Minnesota's renewable biomass resources for use in building, infrastructure, agriculture as well as renewable energy.

Singsaas comes to NRRI with a PhD in Botany from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he also served as Research Director for the Wisconsin Institute for Sustainable Technology. He served as Associate Professor of Biology at UW-Stevens Point. He also co-founded Algoma Algal Biotechnology LLC in 2012.
