Abstract

The piggyback iris lens is a viable alternative in the cosmetic management of disfigured corneas. We feel this lens has a place alongside the scleral lens and tinted softlens. Table 3 explains our indications for each type of lens. No one lens is sufficient to handle the cosmetic and comfort needs of all patients. Utilizing the three types of lenses when best indicated should result in moderate success when managing this complex problem.
