N2 - If the verset was renewed in the wake of Symbolism, it might be in part because of cinema. With silent film a new form of text appears - the intertitle - which closely resembles a verset. There is little doubt that poets paid very close attention to cinema, and moreover to the new device, at once visual and textual, that is the intertitle. Without trying to establish a direct link, the article attempts to narrow down the "transmedial" exchanges flowing from cinema to verset-like forms of writing among poets, cinepoets, and theoreticians of the 1910s to 1930s (Apollinaire, Desnos, Artaud, Dermée, Berge, Epstein) or even more recent poets (Pittolo).
