Abstract
We report preliminary results on body surface Laplacian mapping of chronic myocardial infarction (MI). Healthy subjects were recruited as control group, and one patient with prior MI was studied to evaluate the feasibility of applying both potential and Laplacian mapping techniques in characterizing and localizing the site of MI in patient. The preliminary experimental results suggest that using body surface Laplacian and potential mapping can facilitate the noninvasive characterization and localization of site of MI, as judged by echocardiogram.
