Abstract

Provides the results of a scholarly research study which attempted to determine what factors contributed to the practice routines of university music students and explains that subjects for the study were 711 undergraduate and graduate students studying at three universities in Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Focuses on internal student satisfaction and on practice organization and preparedness as the two most important factors in developing good student practice habits. Notes suggestions for further research.
