Abstract

This brief proposes a scalable array of actively coupled oscillators based on vertex-shared expansion of multiple sub-arrays. We analytically prove that as a result of this proposed scaling, the expanded array preserves the stable operating modes of the sub-arrays. In addition, we verify the expected transient and steady-state behaviour of the scaled structure using time-domain simulation. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the proposed topology is resilience to element-to-element variation as the dimensions scale. This offers a promising solution for large scale signal distribution in phased arrays.
