Abstract

Multiple objective programming for forest resource management planning has wide appeal, particularly for developing nations. However, choosing a composite objective function and assigning proper weights to it are crucial. A composite objective function and an interactive weighting technique designed for developing nations are described. The technique reduces a large number of extreme point solutions into a small group so that the decision-maker may more easily choose a final solution. -Authors
