Abstract

Using purified lectins (Bandeiraea simplicifolia I-B4 isolectin and the castor bean agglutinin) and glycosidases (α- and β-galactosidases) we have shown that the terminal, non-reducing galactopyranosyl groups of asialoprothrombin possess the β-configuration rather than the α-anomeric form previously reported.
