Abstract
CD-ROM publishing has reached a new level of sophistication and maturity, with packages that meet the needs of specific target audiences. Some of the products range from audio and video clips using navigators to spoken instruction, to better use of color and layout, to 3-D representations that can be turned and moved on command to simulate movement of objects. A further look at the features and some of the trends in CD-ROM product design are presented.
