Abstract

Recent reports have indicated that adolescent cigarette smoking is declining. This report presents new data which point to sharply higher smoking levels than those reported elsewhere. These findings raise questions about whether adolescent smoking levels are truly declining and suggest that the traditional methods for measuring adolescent smoking may be inadequate.
