Abstract

In this article, the determinants of agreements between school boards and teachers' associations are examined. The objective is to test the hypothesis that variations in collective bargaining agreements and major contract areas can be explained by the economic and institutional environments in which negotiations occur. A model of bargaining outcomes is developed and tested by regression anaylsis.
