Abstract
A modeling/analysis approach with special reference to a class of isothermal phase change is described. Emphasis is placed on representative enthalpy architectures which introduce some added advantages with only minor modifications to the generalized ?-family of representations proposed originally for general solidification problems by Tamma and Namburu [5]. Numerical test models are presented to illustrate the applicability to a class of isothermal phase change situations.
