Abstract

The Northern states Power Company plans to build a thermal power plant near the St. Croix River at Lake st. Croix between Bayport and Stillwater, Minnesota. The plant is to be known as the Allen S. King Generating Plant. Operation of the plant requires water for condenser cooling which will be drawn from nearby Lake St. Croix. After use. this water with a higher temperature will be returned to the lake at a location downstream from the intake.
