Abstract

La conquista del Peru is the oldest poem about Francisco Pizarro's voyages to Peru. In the text are two different voyages: the factual travel of Francisco Pizarro and the imaginative travel of the anonymous poet. Both journeys represent two different epistemological problems: the discovery of the territory and the poetic representation.
