Abstract

This paper provides information on several erosion and sediment control certification programs. The purpose is to compare the programs, understand how they function, and learn from the similarities and differences. Some of the common questions and issues brought up by the attendees of the certification courses are also included. This paper also discusses recertification procedures and the value they have in providing feedback between the contractors, designers, and regulators working in erosion and sediment control technologies. This information should be helpful to those interested in creating or improving existing education programs.
