Abstract

The Nitrogen Tillage Residue Management (NTRM) model was evaluated as a means of predicting moisture movement, matrix potential and nitrate concentrations following land application of watewater. The mass transport of water and nitrogen and the nitrogen transformations within the soil profile were measured in loamy sand and clay loam soil columns. Moisture movement, matrix potential and nitrate concentrations were compared between the model and experimental results.
