Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the carrier frequency offsets (CFOs) compensation problem for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing interleave division multiple access (OFDM-IDMA) systems. Different from the previous work where a common CFO among users is assumed and compensated for [1], a new algorithm is proposed in this paper in which the CFOs are treated individually. Therefore, better bit error rate (BER) performance is expected using the proposed algorithm. Field experimental results over underwater acoustic (UWA) channels are given in this paper to show the superiority of our proposed algorithm.
