Abstract

We fabricated vertically aligned nanostructures of semiconductor TiO 2 which can be utilized for various optoelectronic devices such as solar cells. We first prepared perpendicularly-ordered lamellar nanostructures of block copolymers on the substrate, followed by selective removal of microdomains to obtain block copolymer nanotemplates. With the sol-gel process, anatase TiO 2 nanostructures were effectively produced over the whole substrate. Furthermore, we were able to adjust the size of TiO 2 nanostructures by varying the molecular weight of copolymers.
