Health manpower resources: patterns and trends (a study of health manpower in Iowa)

Abstract

Publication presents a survey of the types, characteristics, and location of Iowa's health manpower resources in order to provide basic information on which to formulate health manpower policies for the state. Data for the study are taken from licensure records, records of professional organizations and occupational associations, and from special research projects conducted by the Health Economics Research Center, University of Iowa. Study includes a comparison of selected health care indices for the United States, Iowa and adjoining states, and presents facts characterizing 15 health manpower occupations.
