The results are examined specifically in terms of the point defect chemistry of these materials with particular emphasis on modifications proposed to constitutive laws for high-temperature steady-state creep to account for the nucleation and migration of jogs and kinks as one possible resolution of the discrepancy between activation energies for self-diffusion and those for creep.",
