Funding Information:As a teacher, scientist, critic and friend, Dr. Burchell is much admired world-wide and his guidance deeply appreciated by those who have had the opportunity to work with him. In honor of his 80th birthday, Dr. Burchell’s friends and colleagues have initiated, and encourage financial support for a research scholarship to be named in his honor, and to be managed in perpetuity by the American Heart Association-Minnesota Affiliate, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
