Abstract
Two methods for estimating isometric recruitment curves of electrically stimulated muscles were tested on isolated muscles of anesthetized cats. The new, ramp deconvolution method results in estimates similar to the more traditional step response method but offers a higher resolution curve in less time. Changes in threshold and of the isometric recruitment curves with time are also demonstrated.
