Abstract
As more of the electrical load is being supplied through some sort of a power electronics interface, there is a growing interest in avoiding power-line pollution due to line rectification. Power-line conditioning using resonant converters to minimize switching losses and EMI is considered. One such resonant converter is analyzed by means of computer simulation and its working principle is explained. The internal voltages and currents in the converter as functions of component values, switching frequency, input voltage and output loading are investigated.
