Abstract

Cognitive-behavioral therapy and antidepressants have both been shown to be effective in treating bulimia nervosa. The literature is somewhat inconclusive regarding whether combining these treatments improves outcome. It is possible that selected groups of patients could benefit from combined treatment. The authors propose and discuss several models for combining treatment.
