Abstract

Estimates of the mean free path of relativistic He6 in nuclear emulsion strongly suggest that it is much shorter than the He3 or He4 mean free path. A discussion is given of the important implications of this difference for the interpretation of recent data on secondary helium fragments produced in interactions of relativistic primary beams.
