Abstract

Presented in this paper is a successful demonstration of a stable, wide, single transverse mode operation of semiconductor laser. By using the combination of mode-selecting mirror (MSM) for one of the reflectors and an adjustable aperture adjacent to the output mirror, the transverse mode stabilization is achieved.
