Abstract

We have studied the color-suppressed hadronic decays of neutral B mesons into the final states [Formula presented]. Using [Formula presented] [Formula presented] pairs collected with the CLEO detector, we observe the decays [Formula presented] and [Formula presented] with the branching fractions [Formula presented] and [Formula presented]. The first error is statistical and the second systematic. The statistical significance of the [Formula presented] signal is [Formula presented] ([Formula presented] for [Formula presented]). Utilizing the [Formula presented] branching fractions we determine the strong phases [Formula presented] between isospin [Formula presented] and [Formula presented] amplitudes in the [Formula presented] and [Formula presented] final states to be [Formula presented] and [Formula presented], respectively.
