Abstract
The yield condition given in spatial variables for isotropic perfectly plastic materials is transformed to the material variables. The resulting anisotropy in the material description is discussed. For a dynamically loaded spherical shell sustaining large deformations finite displacements are evaluated. Differences in the final displacements are shown when the yield condition is defined in the undeformed or in the actual configuration.
