Abstract

Primary intracranial tumors of mesenchymal origin are exceedingly rare. This study describes the light microscopic and ultrastructural features of a leiomyosarcoma localized to the sellar and suprasellar region in a 35-yr-old man. The probable origin of this tumor from blood vessels is discussed.
