To the Editor:… In every field of medicine, it is the physician's responsibility to give the patient as much medical information as possible, to enable the patient to make decisions about his or her care. No woman sees a physician to find out whether that physician “ascrib[es] personhood to the fetus” (see Sounding Board article by Thorp and Bowes, April 30 issue*).
