Abstract
Wireless technology is continually demanding higher data rates. Increasing the bandwidth is the most effective way to achieve that goal. Higher bandwidths, however, imply a high ADC clocking speed as well as a high dynamic range making the ADC power-hungry and difficult to design, if at all feasible. Frequency channelization is an effective way to overcome this problem. It reduces the required clock speed of the ADC and also increases the immunity to narrow-band interferers, hence reducing the ADC dynamic range requirements.
