Quantum interference and superconducting transitions in 2D

Abstract

It is shown that planar two-junction superconducting interferometers may be employed to detect the disappearance of quasi-long-range order at the vortex unbinding transition of a 2D superconductor and to determine in a static fashion the superelectron density at the transition.
