title = "Real-time, label-free plasmonic biosensing using periodic nanohole arrays",
abstract = "Recent discovery of the extraordinary optical transmission effect provides novel options for surface plasmon resonance biosensing. Here we report the use of a periodic array of nanoscale apertures as a real-time, label-free biosensor. By changing the shape of the nanohole, it is demonstrated that localized surface plasmon resonance can be enhanced, which improves the detection sensitivity for small biomolecules.",
