title = "Reducing harmonics in Bi-directional utility interface for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles",
abstract = "This paper proposes a novel bidirectional topology for Electrical Vehicles. The topology has controllable power factor with 3-phase input and unity power factor with single-phase input. The main attribute of this topology is bidirectional power flow. A desired application of this topology is providing power from the vehicles battery pack to the grid during peak power demand. While the converter is operated under power control, the converter exhibits some line-frequency harmonics in the input current. A simple technique is proposed to reduce the line-frequency harmonics in the input current. Simulations results are presented for the proposed converter using a baseline example and comparing it with the results of the newly implemented technique.",
