Abstract

The role of surface composition on the ability of hematopoietic progenitor cells to be transduced with retroviral vectors was examined. Human hematopoietic progenitor cells (CD34+cells) were transduced with retroviral vector LNGFR. The cells were tested for the percentage of cells expressing LNGFR. The results indicate that the percentage of hematopoietic progenitor cells is increased with increasing concentration of extracellular matrix molecules.
