Abstract

A study was conducted to create a SANS curve for the cross-linking of wormlike micelles (WLM) by a model hydrophobically modified polymer (HMP). There was clear evidence that the structure of the WLMs over the range length scale remained unchanged by the addition of HMP, eliminating the need for other mechanism from further consideration. It was also observed that HMP can also enhance the zero shear rate viscosity of a WLM solution significantly at low concentrations.
