Abstract

A utility-interactive single-phase inverter with a seamless transfer between grid-tied and off-grid modes of operations was investigated. A control algorithm was used for inverters which maintain a continuous uninterrupted voltage accross critical and sensitive loads in the event of a fault on the grid. The static transfer switch helps to disconnect the grid within half a line cycle in the case of a fault. The results could be used for any current and voltage controllers.
