Abstract

The authors tried to verify the reversible light-induced changes in the strengths of the Si-H vibrational absorption bands in hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) that were reported by the P. -X. Zhang et al. and by D. G. Carlson et al. They did not find any such changes in a-Si:H samples prepared under several different conditions. The detection sensitivity was more than an order of magnitude higher than that of the previous authors.
