Figure 3 shows the concentration dependence measured from the PM current with various sensitivities; there is a close agreement between the concentration distributions obtained by the differing methods. Inaccuracy in measuring the PM current makes the main contribution to the error in measuring the relative concentration, which is about 25%. A method has been thus developed for measuring the relative concentration of large particles by means of a Dantec laser Doppler anemometer. Two methods can be used: from the data rate and from the PM current. The research was supported by the Russian Fundamental Research Fund (grant 01-02-17294).
