The issue of hardware selection is presented as one which is contiguent on the teacher's current and projected software needs. The tutorial also presents the criteria for designing new software, especially for CAI. The leaders present some models for designing software, and discuss various ways teachers and programmers should interact during the development and testing of new programs.
