N2 - This paper examines techniques used in the attempted change of sex orientation from homosexual to heterosexual, and suggests a social paradigm (heterosexual marriage) that would make such a change if change was possible. Evidence presented strongly suggests that this paradigm is no more successful than previous ones and that the possibility mustbe considered that homosexual orientation and behaviour are in the long term unmodifiable.
