Abstract
Congestive heart failure continues to be a formidable public health problem, complicated by the fact that about 35% to 45% of all patients who have this condition die suddenly and unexpectedly. The problem of arrhythmias in patients with congestive heart failure, relatively ignored until recently, has now caught the attention of numerous investigators. Several interesting and informative papers have been published on the topic in the past year.
