Abstract

We consider the Landau theory of an almost-localized Fermi liquid with a very large m*m ratio. We argue that this system has a superconducting transition to a p-wave state. We estimate Tc, calculate the specific-heat discontinuities at Tc, and discuss phase stability. Using available experimental data for and kF, we find that our results for this model are in good agreement with the known experimental values for heavy-fermion compounds.
