Abstract

In this paper, we derive the equations for three-dimensional motion and temperature of a thermoelastic beam. The modeling takes into account surface heating and radiation. The model is simplified when the beam cross-section is an annulus with small wall thickness. Well-posedness as well as asymptotic behavior of the solutions are discussed using the semigroup method for the simplified model.
