Abstract

A highly efficient red-emitting nitride phosphor of CaAlSiN 3:Eu2+ is prepared via one-pot ammonothermal synthetic route starting from elementary constituents of Ca, Al, Si, and Eu. Respective elements are able to be dissolved in the supercritical solution of ammonia, transformed into intermediates of metal amides, and consecutively converted to metal nitride of nanocrystalline CaAlSiN3:Eu2+.
