Abstract
To the Editor: It is unfortunate that Dr. Berrien (Feb. 5 issue)* has lost some of the incentives to provide comprehensive health care in her practice. Has she ever considered entering into collaborative practice with a certified adult or family nurse practitioner as an alternative to another physician? This would enable her to maintain high-quality care, have more time for important medical priorities, and expand her practice. She would have the expertise of a registered nurse educated at the master's level who is experienced in primary care and who is committed to being a health educator and patient advocate.
