An Osborn wave was observed on the electrocardiogram of a man who had been found unconscious at his home. This characteristic spike or hump is interspersed between the QRS and the ST segment, indicating hypothermia. In this case the body temperature measured 27.6°C. Rewarming led to an uneventful recovery and normalization of the electrocardiogram.
