Abstract

In this paper a comparative study of hydrophobicity (log P), Van der Waals volume (V(w)), information content (IC) and structural information content (SIC) in the correlation of the pharmacological potencies of barbiturates and triazenes is undertaken. Results show that the topological indices are superior to hydrophobicity (log P) and van der Waals volume (V(w)) in rationalizing biological action of the congeners.
