Abstract

The collection, transmission, and computing of mobile big data require the support of communication, networking and computing infrastructure. Due to the special characteristics of mobile big data, the communications and networking infrastructure urges a revolutionary overhaul. For example, the (near) real-time response demanded by some mobile big data driven applications is hardly satisfied by the existing infrastructure. In this section, we survey the potential technologies on communications, transmissions and computing in the context of mobile big data.
